The Sony PlayStation was released on September 9th, 1995 and marked the firs time Sony entered the console wars solo. Backed with great third-party offerings and some great Sony-developed games, the PlayStation would ultimately dethrone Nintendo and become one of the biggest and best systems in video game history.
